Maximum connections limit for HTTP in IIS 6.0

I have an ISAPI extension. It works well in IIS 5.0 (windows 2000). I use the
performance monitor tool to monitor the current connections, it can exceed
50000. But in IIS 6.0, the current connections can't exceed 8704. I set the
site connections to unlimited, and connection timeout to 900 seconds. I even
change the MinFileBytesPerSec to 1 in the metabase.xml. But the connections
can't exceed 8704. After the connections reach 8704, the server will refuse
the connection and the client get 10061 sockek error. I struggle for the
whole week but still can't figure out how to solve this problem.

Anyone who knows how to solve this problem will be greatly appreciated.
