Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

I am running IIS under Windows XP on my home computer. The website
comes up fine

Now, I have added a folder to the website:

inetput\wwwroot\sub

(Actually, it is a usb drive mounted as a folder.)

I would like to make the directory of this folder accessible over the
Internet by going to http://mydomain.com/sub.

When I try that in Internet Explorer, I get prompted for a username
and password. No matter what username and password I enter, I can not
access the folder directory.

I don't mind the username and password bit, I just want to be able to
access the directory over the Internet.

Can someone help me with this?

Actually, I have just discovered that NONE of the files I have in any
sub directory show up... not even graphic files for my home page.
