Hello,
Migrated servers to new hardware by copying metabase to new server with MS
scripts. Then recreated users and images the sites drive across (d:\
partition)

Everything works fine but when php is run in CGI mode IIS returns a 403
forbidden error. If the sites application pool is set to run as a network
service all runs fine

New sites also seem to work ok. Ive checked the users and then belong to the
right groups and permissions are set on the websites root and the php folder

Pretty much at a loss any ideas?

Robbie

This is mentioned in IIS Product documentation on the CD as well as MSDN,
where it talks about how to configure custom process identity (it's even got
a special "Note:"). Please take the time to read the instructions and
understand the new features that you are using.

Actually i was aware of that

I found the problem it was 2 group policies for local security accounts. One
to control memory and one for token control. They were missing the relative
user accounts
