Post subject: Log file question...
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Is there a preferred application for analyzing the SMTP log files?
Also, I have had complaints from people that they have not received my
emails.
Is there an easy way to open the log files and see if any servers are
rejecting my IP.

I have heard that some ISPs like AOL block groups of IPs entirely.
My log files are rather large, is/are there any response codes or text I can
look for to indicate this kind of rejection?

Any other info would be greatly appreciated
-Craig

Preferred by whom...? Smile

The Log Parsing Tool works fine, and many log analyzers can accept the
SMTP log format. Or they can be imported into a database.

You could search on the SMTP error codes you're interested in.

Could be any number of them. Check the reply codes section of the RFC
for a list:
