Post subject: Internet services manager
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

I have Winsows XP Prof. and IIS 5.1, .net 2003 on my
machine. But I cannot see Internet services manager in my
Adminstrative tools.
But in the services I see IISadmin service running in hte
Computer Management console. what does that mean? Is my
IIS working?
When I try to run the inetmgr.exe from C:\WINDOWS\system32
\inetsrv\ I get the following error message
snap-in creation failed
name:<unknown>
CLSID:{A841B6C2-7577-11D0-BB1F-00A0c922E79c}

Can anybody help me?

What happens when you Right Click My Computer and invoke manage, do you see
IIS in there?
Also what happens when you type in mmc from start/ run. Does the MMC come
up?

When I go to manage in Mycomputer I see only SQL server

When I go to start/run/mmc a console shows up but it is
empty
