Internet scam?

Hi,

I received an email supposedly from Barclays bank over the weekend
asking me to update my account at their web site. This seemed a bit
odd and I had heard that similar emails from ebay were scams. Is this
another example of the same scam? It looked very realistic.

I believe this is a scam. Lloyds TSB have reported that several
customers have had similar email that did not originate from them.
They also state that a bank would never ask for personal details to be
verified over the net.
