Post subject: Installation problem - missing dll?
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

During Installatin of IIS using the Windows XP Pro CD,
the setup program alerts that it cannot find admxprox.dll
and even after directing teh program to search teh CD,
the installation does not continue. There seem to be a
series of files dll's and exe's which are missing
somehow. Why isn't my installation working?

Also, I found that TCP/IP and Connectivity Utilities must
be installed before installing IIS, but what do i do to
install the Utilities?

Archived from groups: per prev. post (more info?)

To ensure TCP/IP is installed
1. Right-click on 'My Network Place' and select properties
2. Right-click on 'Local area network' and select properties
3. At least Clients for Microsoft Network and TCP/IP should be selected

Is the correct CD being used during the install?
Is there any Service Packs installed on XP?
Is there any anti-virus running?
Are you logged into the system as the administrator?

Thank you for choosing Microsoft
