I just purchased a new PC with XP Pro but it does not
have IIS under Add windows Components.

I have a full XP Pro CD that I installed on my old PC. Is
there a way to get it from the CD?
TIA
Jack

In Add/Remove Windows Components, it's listed as Internet Information
Services, not IIS.

I looked for Internet Information Services. It is not
there. I looked under Microsoft Knowledge Base and they
do not even refference it to Windows XP Pro anymore.
Any other Idea's about getting it off the CD?
TIA
Jack

Best guess is your XP Pro is really XP Home. Which has no IIS.

This is a retail CD?

I clean installed XP Pro on Sunday on my desktop and IIS is definitely
there... provided you are an Administrator or user with Admin Rights.

Try Internet Information services instead (IIS)
