Increasing website search result position and Pagerank

I don't come in here very often, but just glancing at the topics I
wonder how you guys can stand the spam and use the newsgroup?

I guess you can just click to ignore the spam threads and they don't
appear in real threads cluttering up actual conversations... ?

So in that case no one would see my reply here

We use filters. Many subscribe to this doctrine:

All it takes is the press of the I key, in my real newsreader.

Speaking for myself, as I shouldn't suppose to know what others do, I
ignore the pointless anal threads (there's two going off at the
moment) and the "spam".

But you are quite right, it's annoying and pathetic.

I don't see most of the spam because my news server filters it out for
me. That plus a kill file keeps most of the junk out of sight. As long
as no one responds to them I never even know they're there.
