I have two windows 2003 systems that are configured the same and I would
like to have one system take over when the other fails. I know that I have
to use DFS and FRS to keep the files the same and used iissync to keep the
IIS configuration the same. Should I use a Microsoft cluster or network load
balancing? How do I make one system take over if the other fails?

Pete

Microsoft Application Center would be the official MS solution for this.

On that note, does Web Server edition support clustering? Or can it be
using with Standard Edition to build a cluster?

Clustering is not supported for TCP/IP based services (IIS) - NLB is
recommended instead.

What can I do with my FrontPage accounts? I have seen posts saying that
FrontPage server extensions do not lend themselves to NLB or MSCS and I have
about 100 or more FrontPage 2002 sites

I as well have several hundred sites that have FP extensions and I need them
mirrored with a SAN using iSCSI holding the WWWRoot. I simply need IIS 6.0
on 2003 server to run like SQL 2000 on W2K server with a data LUN and a
quorum LUN. It looks like Microsoft won't play with SAN solutions in IIS
6.0. This is going to be the future of fault-tolerance and it is here
already. Microsoft, if you have a beta for a solution to this, I would be
MORE than happy to assist. We have invested large amounts of money into a
SAN topology for this with an expensive NetApp filer.
