Post subject: IIS6 PW protection works on Firefox but not MS IE

Running IIS6 on W2k3, I've got a secure subdomain the base page of which I
want to password protect.

Pw authentication works flawlessly with Firefox, but not MS Internet
Explorer.

Under Authentication Methods, I have "Integrated Windows Authentication"
checked, and "Enable Anonymous Access" unchecked.

I'm sure it's something simple that I'm overlooking I can't see it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

IE prompts the user, but does not accept the password.

Btw, I'm testing from within the Local Internet Zone, for what that's
worth.

Yes, that did it. Thanks.

Any thought on why is that step not required in Firefox?
