Post subject: IIS 5.1 website works locally, but on LAN doesn't work Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)
I have a PC which has Windows XP Pro SP2 & IIS 5.1, and a website on
it. on locally everything works perfect.
but when I try to access this website form another computer (2003
server) which is also in the LAN, I get the "page cannot be displayed
message"
I try to reverse the action, and set up a website on the 2003 server,
my XP Pro machine access that website..
Is this problem relates to XP Pro & IIS 5.1, in which also there is a
one website restriction?
Note : as far as I checked there isn't a DNS or routing problem..

I found it it's about the XP built in firewall setting, I just turn
it OFF !

XP SP2 includes Windows Firewall - did you remember to include an exception
for port 80?
