Post subject: IIS isapi cache applications
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hi,
I have a web server(iis5.0,win2k adv),i want to use the NAS
(Network-Attached Storage device)to host my site content.
when i access the ASP file,IE pop up a box prompting to
input username and password, but accessing the html file
work proper.
if i have the box (site properties---home directory---
configuration---cache isapi applications)
unchecked, accessing the asp file work proper, but i flush
the asp quickly,IE pop up the message "the request
resource is in use"
now i think, iis have no privilege to access the cache file.
and where is the cache file? i have already set "c:
everyone full control"
any help is be appreciated
thanks
pfx

IWAM account needs permissions. Download filemon and regmon from www.sysinternals.com and check for some access denied after
you have captured the IE prompt for credentials.

Thank you. I hope this information is helpful.
