IIS(http 1.1 500 server error)

After i finish install OS(Window XP SP2), i install all the application that
i needed which is Ms Office 2003 pro, Ms Visual Basic 6, Ms SQL server 6.5,
Ms SQL Server 2000, Power Builder 7 and Power Builder 8. After i install all
the application, i proceed to install IIS. After i install IIS i do a
testing. I go to Internet Explorer and type in
'http//localhost/localstart.asp' then i get this msg "http 1.1 500 Server
Error".

Please help.

It would help if you turned off the Show Friendly HTTP error messages in
Internet Explorer so we can get a more descriptive error. You can do this
by opening IE, choose Internet Options from the Tools menu, Advanced tab
...scroll down until you see Show Friendly HTTP error messages. Uncheck
this option, then try browsing to localhost and post the error that you get
in the browser. You may also want to check your system and application
event logs for any errors.
