Post subject: IIS 6.0 error with vista
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hi to all,

My new machine has vista and IIS 6.0.
I have a web service that was developed in C# and tested on IIS 5.0 (on
windows XP and .Net 1.1).

Testing with IIS 6.0 I have found an error with one of the assemblies which
tries to read command line parameters (clearly there are no command lines
parameters for a web service as there would be for an executable, so the
assembly reads from the registry). On IIS 5.0 the web service worked fine
and using the Cassini Web server I have no problems, however for IIS 6.0 I
get an "Index was outside the bounds of an array error". This occurs in the
assembly method that is trying to read the command line.

Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Sham.

IIS 6.0 is for Windows server 2003. IIS7 comes with Vista.

Sorry Tom, yes you are right. IIS 7 is installed.

So back to my original post, I get the error with IIS 7 (worked for IIS 5
and cassini).

Any ideas?

Sham.
