Please define what you mean by "IIS stops working". What do you get on a
request for a static HTML file, ASP file, or ASPX file?
What suggestions HAVE you tried?
IIS is a server, which doesn't need a UI to function. So, one needs to
distinguish whether this is simply some UI issue, or is the web server
actually not working.
If the services you claim are running, then IIS is running and probably
working. You will need to give supporting evidence from the web log files
or system event log to see whether IIS is working or not. As for the UI --
are you opening the snapin from the machine itself or doing it remotely?

Hey,
I have a Fresh install of Win 2K Server, just installed Active Dir.
As soon as I do that my IIS stops working. I get the following error
when trying to open the snap-in. "Unable to connect to Target
Machine." I checked my services it says my RPC is running, and that
asp.net, iisadmin, ftp, smtp are all running. I cannot stop or
restart any of those services. All the suggestions that I have read
have been uneventfull. Anyone have ideas??
Thanks,
Jonesey
