Hi There,
I have a problem with the IIS running. Whenever I try to run
http://localhost/aaa
asp i got this error "HTTP 500-Internal Server Error". I use very
simple c
ode in aaa.asp. I try to look for the Show Friendly http error
messages, bu
t it doesn't give me another other error beside "HTTP 500-Internal
Server Er
ror". Does anyone know what is happening here? I use Window XP with
IIS 5.1

Hello,
The Http 500 is a very generic error message. Can you look in the Event
logs (Application and System) for any errors/warnings (DCOM, W3svc, etc)?

Hope this helps!

Also be sure to turn off friendly error messages in case an error on the
page is hidden.
