Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hello,

My application uses QuickBooks for credit card processing. For this
purpose, I have installed a root CA certificate and client
certificate. Whenever I access the page from IE, I get a popup that
says
'Client Authentication - The website you want to view requests
identification. Please choose a certificate'. The Certificates are
empty (no certificates to choose)

IIS settings include Accept client certificates.

I read a post - https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/thread?threadID=121671
that talks about a setting on IE. Can this popup be suppressed with
IIS settings?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks,
Narmatha

If you are using Windows accounts for everybody who needs to log into the
site then this looks like a great solution for you:

If you have an anonymous site and are using client certificates then that
certificate needs installed on every client who tries to connect to the
site. You can use asp.net to make that client certificate available to end
users:
