Hi All,

Ok, first off, I apologize for posting a question for a non-supported
s/w piece on Windows NT 4.0.

We have an FTP server running IIS 3.0 on Windows NT 4.0 which is
giving us a little heartburn, weve the permissions setup to allow
certain users RWXD (Change Access) in NT 4.0 and this account is
applied RXWD (Change) access throughout the entire directory tree with
inheritence enabled. Whenever we log onto this server thorugh an FTP
session we are able to logon with the account that has the correct
access even at the operator level, but, when we attempt to access one
of the subfolders with the access applied as RWXD (Change) access to
the subdirectory we get "Access Denied". Tried starting and stopping
the FTP service after each permissions change with no joy.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks,

Nino

NT 4.0 / IIS 3.0. Let me think, do you see anything in the event log? When
a person logs into the FTP server, they 'might' need at least 'list' (or
whatever they are called in NT 4 I forget) might be a lead. Hope that helps.
Have you considered upgrading?
