Post subject: High CPU Usage
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)
I`m using IIS 4 on Win NT and from time to time the
inetinfo.exe CPU usage reaches 100% and makes everything
extremely slow. Is there a patch I can install on my IIS 4
to handle this problem?

Archived from groups: per prev. post (more info?)
This is not necessarily something that needs a patch. It
is more likely that there is some code running on your
server that is taking all of the cpu time. Best bet is
to try an isolate what code it is and then fix or remove
it.

Next time it happens, run IISState (www.iisfaq.com/iisstate). It will dump
out the running threads and show (hopefully) which page is causing the
problem. If you need help w/the analysis, you can post the log to the
group.
