Archived from groups: alt>freewebhosting (more info?)

Hi

Wondering if anyone can help me.
I have a few domain names that I have registered and would like to host
sites for them somewhere.

I am after free webspace preferably with CPanel and would like to point ALL
my domains at a different directory on this space so bust so that the URL in
the browser still only sees it as the actual domain typed in.

e.g.

www.first.com
points to webspace\first
www.second.com
points to webspace\second
www.third.com
points to webspace\third

So it looks like 3 completely separate sites but actually on the same
webspace.

Also, what is this called? Is this Subdomains, parked domains or add on
domains. Can anyone point me to some information that explains the
difference for/against for these types of domains.

Thanks

That's called a "redirect"...and I wonder why you don't just get 3
individual freebie hosting accounts, instead of making things complicated.
As in, 1 hosting account for each domain???

<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.affordablehost.com/cpanel.shtml" target="_blank">http://www.affordablehost.com/cpanel.shtml</a> (free Cpanel hosting - no ads)

This is called "Frame Forwarding", which forwards the frame to another
address but the url shown is still the one you come in from (vs. "Standard
Forwarding" which forwards the page to another address totally).
