Please Help - Newbie - Intranet Websites Not Working

I need help troubleshooting this thing. I've got IIS working. I've got two
websites on my server and listed in IIS and running. Each site has a
different IP and Header. Each site has the right file listed in default
content page. Read permissions have been granted to "Everyone" on each site.
I've entered both of the site names as hosts in DNS. I've tested the DNS
entries and they resolve the names to IP addresses. BUT...when I type the
site names or the IP addresses that I've assigned them into the address bar
in IE, I get "The Page Cannot be Displayed." Another problem is that when I
ping the IP addresses that I've assigned to the pages I get a time out. The
IP addresses are unique to the sites, but on the same network number as the
rest of my systems.

I'm banging my head against the wall trying to figure out what I've misses.
