Post subject: HTTP 401.1 - Unauthorized: Logon Failed
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

I have a section in our intranet that uses Integrated
Windows Authentication. Anonymouse Access is not checked.
There are 15 domain accounts that have permission to
access the directory, 14 can get in and the 15th can not.
The user is entering the correct credentials and all
accounts have the right to log on locally to the server.

I can not figure out why this one user can not get in. I
even went as far as to create a local account on the
server for him to use...and he still gets the error above.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the user who can not connect trying to do so via
internet explorer?

Yes, they are using IE (5.5 I think).

Their Security settings are set to automatically log in to Intranet zone
and the address is has been added to their Intranet Sites.

Is this user behind some firewall/proxy (or is using some Anonymizer SW,
etc) ?
