Hey all;
I'm pretty sure the answer to this is "don't do this" ... But a customer is
insisting it'll work (sigh).
He's got a site, say,
www.foobar.com - he's registered 20 other domains,
foobar1.com through foobar20.com
He wants to clone index.html from foobar.com and use them on all the
others, but with their links all pointing back to foobar.com
I told him that he wasn't the first to think of doing this and that the
Googlebots are more than likely smart enough to detect this and nuke his
ranking entirely. He insists that this will increase his page rank.
I suggested that at the very least, he vary the content on foobar1.com
through foobar20.com and then have the links pointing back to the main
site, but I think he's going to cheap out and do "copy+paste*20"
So am I right - is this going to kill his rankings / listings in Google ?
