All of you folks searching for a free web host will be very interested
in what's going on at our site:
http://www.freewebtown.com
We've been officially live since August 1st, 2004, and have over
25,000 active users on our custom-created web hosting environment.
Before I quote our available features, here is some very recent news:
We recently greatly enhanced our system's health and overall
stablility by automatic bandwidth capping of sites that were
previously abusing our system. Current and new users receive a 1.0 GB
per month data transfer/bandwidth allotment to use as they wish. Now
the system will disable sites that exceed this limit until the end of
the current 30-day period. Site owners who want to instantly
reactivate their sites can do so for a nominal one-time fee of $2.00
and receive an immediate 1.0 GB additional bandwidth to be used at any
time.
We feel this is a new approach to free hosting (ie. provide free
resources and require payment from those users who use the majority of
the system's resources) and would be interested in your comments and
thoughts on it. We know for a fact that our system's health and
reliability has dramatically improved since we implemented this
feature and we encourage everyone to come and register for a free
account with the following available features:
Features:
We are ad-supported, but what makes us unique is that ads appear on
our own public pages ONLY - users don't have to run ads on their
websites.
