Post subject: FileSystemObject corruption?
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hi everyone,

I have a strange problem that keeps popping up. I have some scripts that use the FileSystemObject, and every now and then, out of the blue, they stop working, and when that page tries to run, it just hangs. The rest of IIS works fine, but any page using the FileSystemObject just hangs indefinitely, without an error.

The solution I've found to this problem is to reboot the server (the W3SVC won't stop when i do "net stop"), then re-install the Windows Script Engine, then reboot again, and it starts working. This obviously is a huge problem for a production server.

Has anyone run into this before? Any suggestions, solutions, comments? Thank you!

Costin

Thanks Tom,

I disabled script blocking in my McAfee Antivirus and it hasn't locked up since. I'll let you know if it ever locks up again. Smile Thanks!
