FTP not showing files

I set up an FTP server and I am able to logon to it and
drag files into the server. however when I go to the
server and the home directory there is not files.

When I try to copy the same file into it is says the file
already exists do you want to replace? So it is copying to
it but where are the files?

I search the hardrive and it does not find the files.

After you drag the file into the window to upload it, do you see it in the
upload window? Can you download it again?

make sure you're hitting your ftp server and not someone else's...

basically... I've never heard or seen of such a problem...

maybe try to recreate a the ftp site...
