Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

I am getting this error in the event log when clients outside of my local
subnet try to login to the ftp server. Clients in the subnet do not have a
problem. The Web server is using integrated authentication. The FTP site
allows anonymous access, but the directory security is only granted to the
subnet and certain IP addresses. I am using IIS5 on Win2k server. The same
users can login successfully to the web server, but this error occurs when
they try to use ftp.

This is related to IPSec settings and the metabase. Try this KB

Paul - you're a genius! That appears to have fixed my problem. Thanks.
