Error message - I get error: HE) when I try to install download from Windows Update site. can someone help?

Error Message - I may well be in the wrong group but I find The Internet Explorer on-line help dense. When I try to get some sites by using internet explorer I get the following message. Explorer has caused an error in MSDXM.OCX when I click ok

here is a link to the exact error message that iam getting
in my event log there is now 3rd party software installed
on this server apart from the Mcafee AV software, any tips
would be greatly appreciated the server is running service
pack 6a with all MS updates applied.

Where is a link? And why would I go to a link when you could just

The application, exe\inetinfo.dbg, generated an
application error The error occurred on 7/26/2004 @
9:51:49.890 The exception generated was c0000005 at
address 77f7d1d4 (RtlIsValidIndexHandle
this causes thi IIS server to stop servicing requests
but the inetinfo service is still running although it
appers to be running.
