Thx for the data ! =)
Iīve used the tool at http://www.1-hit.com/ that gives you the
"spiderīs view" of ur website.
I found something really odd. In some keywords (the important ones)
the search engine is "seeing" underscores, instead of spaces. For
example, take this:
http://www.buenosaires-tours.com.ar/index.php
versus
http://www.1-hit.com/all-in-one/php/tool.search-engine-viewer.php?url=...p%3A%2F

In there u can see that the spider sees "buenos aires tourism -
argentina_tourism" as the title of the page, but in the html the code
is "<h1>Buenos Aires Tourism - Argentina Tourism</h1>". Do u see the
difference ?

Iīve tried numerous things, and discovered that it has sthing to do
with the repetition of the keyword. If i put "buenos aires tourism" in
one "alt" tag, then "buenos aires tourism" is turned into
"buenos_aires_tourism" for the whole page. Do u why this is happening
?

I know the spider at 1-hit.com is working as a normal spider, cuz if i
search for buenos_aires_tours at google, my site is first (which
explains why i have such little traffic =( ).
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=buenos_aires_tours

Can u give me a hand please ?

Howdy,

You are getting all excited about a batch of home-grown scripting that only
pretends to emulate web crawlers (spiders) and is guessing at how they work.
The web crawlers retrieve your site *EXACTLY* the way you see it if you use
the browser's View > Source.

After retrieving the source code, every search engine spider uses different
techniques to break out the information and analyze it to suit their
policies. Those ranking policies vary between all of the major search
engines.

Some search engines strip all commas and punctuation from the keywords line
and then rip out any duplicate words. In some cases, if there are too many
duplicates, they will skip that page and go on to the next one. Some may
decide to store the keywords with underlines instead of spaces. Every
programmer will handle it a little differently.

Don't worry about it and DO NOT pay these people any money. They are not
doing anything that a properly qualified web designer doesn't already know
and it is not particularly difficult to learn.

If you do a good job of presenting the information on your web pages and an
honest effort to use the appropriate Title, Description, and Key Words in
the heading, you'll do fine with the search engines. If you try to beat the
system, the system will learn to protect itself.

Thanks, Chris <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.bizynet.com" target="_blank">www.bizynet.com</a> and <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.bizycart.com" target="_blank">www.bizycart.com</a>
