Aloha All,

When trying to create a new project in VS 6 I keep on
getting this error: "An unexpected error occured
accessing your Front Page Web files. Authors - if
authoring against a web server, please contact the
webmaster for this server's site. Webmasters - Please
see the server's system log for more details" I am
trying to create this on a local host. I am at a lost.
Can someone point me in the right direction. I create a
new project if I point to an existing one but cannot
create new project.

Aloha,

Kevin Davis

Be sure that your frontpage configuration is done well. Normally on FP 2002
extensions, this is no problem anymore. After checking using the MMC the
website (choose check server extensions with the right mouse), you could fix
it.
Basically, some virtual directories on _vti_bin should not allow anonymous
access and they must have enabled NTLM (windows authentication). Also, the
root web (at /) also should have these settings and support frontpage
extensions.

Success
