Have you checked (about the backups)?
IIS6.0 automatically makes backups at various points. Check in the:
c:\windows\system32\inetsrv\history folder - you may be pleasantly surprised
If you have no backups at all, then you'd need to reinstall various
components to have the metabase configured as it should have been (e.g. WSS,
Exchange etc)
And now would be a good time to start looking at making backups! (and
getting a UPS)
