Post subject: Copying IIS settings between NLB servers
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hi,

I am using the following command to copy the iis settings from one NLB
computer to another.

cscript.exe c:\windows\system32\iiscnfg.vbs /copy /ts 10.0.0.2 /tu admin /tp
password

It seems to fail sometimes and crashes the iis on the target machine. All
the websites are listed as stopped.
When i try again to copy the settings it works and the websites are
restarted.
Both machines are live and hosting websites and so people may be browsing
the sites on the target machine.
Is it possible to use the above the command and it not affect the users
browsing the websites on the target machine?

Thanks.
