Hi All, I'm running Mandrake 9 and on install I installed Apache 1.3.7 (or
something similar). However, now I install Apache 2 and I can't seem to
get Apache2 to run on boot and I also can not get rid of the old Apache. I
tried to remove the package using Mandrake Control center but so far
nothing has worked.

Thanks
Chris

Could you post a bit more information, for example, what types of errors
you're getting (both from Apache and from the Mandrake software)?

I'm not getting any errors, I just can't get rid of the old Apache.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Could you then outline the process that you're using in trying to remove the
old Apache, or give some more information about what is happening when you
try to remove the old apache and what you see?
