Post subject: Companyweb or Sharepoint
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hi.

If I'm in the wrong group, please just let me know.

I have SBS2003 and IIS 6.0. After installing Windows Sharepoint Services
and letting it hijack my companyweb site, I can gain access to WSS via
http://companyweb/default.aspx. But I cannot gain access via an external IP
address. When I change the property of the companyweb from internal to
external IP, companyweb shows (Stopped). If I change it back to internal
and start it, I can get to the WSS page.

companyweb has port 80 set and offerrs both internal and external IP's but
only one works.

I'm sure it's me, but could someone point me and give me a little bit of a
shove.

Thanks,

Rich

Hello,

That sounds like a post you'll want to take to the SBS 2003 newsgroup,
microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs since it has to do with the built-in SBS
sites
