Post subject: Bandwidth monitoring for individual sites
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hi,

I am going to be hosting a site for a client on our Windows 2003 server and would like to find a way of monitoring the total bandwidth that this site has used so that we can set a limit after which we can introduce a charge (much like a hosting company would) to cover us in case the site really takes off. Does anybody know of anything that would do this? We would need something that can identify the site's bandwidth through the host headers as all the sites on the server are run through the same IP address.

Many thanks,

Jon

Jon:

You might look at our Attenuate product. You can specify a variety of
bandwidth limits based on URL.

Jon,

You could use MRTG....one of the most popular monitoring packages out there.
Although, it is unix based.
