I am setting up a site where our users can download a
zipped executable file. I want the user to left click
the file once and have the file auto download to the
users computer and then auto execute. Right now a user
has to right click the file, save as, then run the file
and I want to elimintate this. Does anyone have any idea
how I go about setting this up?

Thank you,

Howard

You need to change their client-side settings. This can't be changed in
server-side code.

In Explorer, goto Tools -> Options -> File Types and uncheck things like
"confirm open after download".

However, be aware that this will take effect for *all* files downloaded by
the user of that type, including possibly malicious software downloaded from
third party sites.

Cheers
