Hi

How does the Economist do that?

The economist has some great audio clips on their site. But I cant see
how the page works.
Sorry to be dumb, but is it all done with Javascript? Or Java... or
Flash... or what?

http://audiovideo.economist.com/?fr_story=75010a84f86d692da6c1cf37692d...6314302

Even the city names dont seem to be visible in the source code...

We have a travel site and we were thinking of linking to one of their
audio clips... but we cant see how to link to a specific audio clip.

Any thoughts?

P.S. Anyone know what the copyright situation would be for such deep
linking?
I imagine if we provide traffic to one of their pages that would be
fine.
But if we did so with an IFRAME that would not... ?

Well, if you look at the text on the right side of the audio clip,
there's a button "embed".
If you click it, they provide the source code to embed it on your
site.

They would - one of their two ways to embed the clip has the iframe
code ready for you Smile

Ah-ha! Gotcha.

Yes... the only problem is that there is a horrid ad for CISCO that
they insist
on serving up before the more interesting stuff (from the Economist)

If I just take the url from the iframe and paste it in the address
bar, I don't get any ad - maybe cause I'm not in the UK?
