Archived from groups: alt>www>webmaster (more info?)

Hi,

My site is currently hosted by bodhost.com They have just moved
datacenter (wthout really informing me they were going to do so) and
my site has been completely down (even disappeared from DNS!) for over
a day now.

I'm looking at alternatives:

www.webhost4life.com
www.ixwebhosting.com
www.gisol.com

Any advice on any of these, or other alternatives, anyone can give me
would be much appreciated.

Requirements are:

- At least 300MB disk space
- ASP, PHP, MySQL
- 100+ mail boxes and forwards
- 100+ mailing lists
- Online control panel would be nice (Bodhost use H-Sphere which I
quite like)

Can pay up to US$30 per month

TIA
Alan

That's quite a lot! I use, and hence recommend, <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.tera-byte.com." target="_blank">www.tera-byte.com.</a>

Can only speak to WH4L.
Lots of asp components. Can set up asp & asp.net apps from control panel.
Can register com/dll with their high end plan ($20 US/month). Get MSSql with
their $10/month plan. Billing annual only.

Reliable. Mail slow at times. Webmail interface lackluster. Support by TT
only, but never waited more than an hour for a response regardless of time
of day. Usual response is within 15-30 minutes even at 3 AM. All TT queries
I mad answered by knowledgeable folk - didn't detect any rookies.

Good db admin interfaces from control panel, password protect Directories &
Files, set up sub-domains, awstats, etc..<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
