Hi,

We're running Windows 2003 server here.

Recently I found ms sql server rather monopolising memory. So I scaled it
down. I also upgraded our RAM to 2MB. We're running a P4 2.8ghz box.

ASP seems to be crashing rather sporadically. I can't find anything relevant
in the error logs. It just seems to stop working, then come back to life
again a few minutes later- sometimes it doesn't at all.

At most times there's over 1GB memory free. CPU usage is low..so it's not
down to resources.

Has anyone had this problem before?

How much ram did you have before you upgraded to 2
megabytes? Wink

Can you give us more information? Do you get any errors in the browser?
Any errors in any of the event logs? Does inetinfo.exe actually shutdown?
When this problem occurs, check in Task Manager and see if inetinfo.exe
process is running.

Hello,

I don't get any errors in the browser. We've got about 150 websites running.
All html pages run fine. All ASP pages just begin to load, but dont actually
load.

There are no errors in the event logs pointing to ASP.

I haven't checked inetinfo.exe. I will check next time. Thank you.

I've just tested and inetinfo DOES shutdown when I end process
