IISADMPWD Blank Page...

I have just found out about the IISADMPWD utility provided with IIS. I
enabled HTR and created the virtual directory and everything according to
the MS KB article, but when I visit any of the HTR pages, it just shows up
blank. Are there supposed to be fields here or am I expected to write some
kind of ASP to utilize this in IIS? I have no idea..

Hello Ketta,
Make sure you have friendly http error messages turned off in IE (Tools->
Internet options-> Advanced-> Show friendly http error messages). Close the
browser, open a new window and try browsing the iisadmpwd virtual
directory. You should see some kind of error or warning.

Normally you will see a message saying you can reset a user's password on
that page by typing the username, old password, new password etc in the
text boxes.
Please note that it is not recommended to use htr pages for password change
if the .htr extension is mapped to ism.dll. You can now use asp pages for
the iisadmpwd virtual directory.
