Hi

I have IIS 6.0 running on Windows 2003 Server and I get 400 Bad Request
errors whenever I try and access anything. I enabled ASP.NET and at first it
was working correctly. Now I can't even access a .htm without getting the
400 error. I tried removing IIS and then re installing it but it still
doesn't work. Does anyone have any ideas what I can try next?

Thanks

Simon

Look in %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\LogFiles\HTTPERR\*.log for the reason why
you are getting "400 Bad Request" and then fix it.

If IE reports "Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)", please check if the
web site is using a specific IP other than "All unassigned".

Another way to track down is using WebFetch. It's included in IIS6
resource kit tools:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&familyi
d=56fc92ee-a71a-4c73-b628-ade629c89499

Run wfetch on the IIS server, needn't change any default setting.
Click Go! and paste the output back to newsgroup. Let's help you look
into it.
