I asked this before, but no one answered. While I think their marketing
strategy is great (giving away free hosting, waiting until you get settled
and then start charging in a couple of years), I'm wondering if they are
targeting the wrong market. They aren't low-budget/cheap hosting - but are
inadvertantly targetting people looking for free hosting.

I notice that many of you are pointing out things that are slow or
annoying...but then go on to say "but its free". How many of you are
planning on keeping your account with them, after they start asking you for
$29 per month? If not, would you be more inclined to stay with them if
their pricing was in tune with, say, a tera-byte, Dixiesys or aussiehost?

Your sense of humor is the ninth wonder of the world, Duende Smile I

Does anyone know if it's possible to use frontpage to publish site to
1and1.com? I don't want to use "pagebuilder" to make my site, I
already have it built in FP.
Thanks,
brian

Yes, I have a site that uses FP on 1and1...you have to go on their control
panel and tell it to use FP extensions for that domain.
